General Rules:
You may compete in all four divisions or any single/combination. You cannot change riders once time has started. No tie downs, martingales or roping reins are allowed. There is no set pattern for the rider to follow upon entering the arena. As long as you complete each of the assigned moves, you are free to make your own pattern in the dry work. In the event your horse goes down, if you and the horse are both ok, you can complete your run. There will be a total of 160 possible points for each contestant. Each horse/rider team will be judged on a point system in the following four categories:
Horsemanship-40 points
Contestants can ride with their reins crossed and/or both hands on the reins even if they don’t ride with a snaffle bit. Riders must change leads once in each direction, must make two stops and roll backs—one to the left and one to right. Make a third stop, then back up 15 feet. Also required are two 360 degree spins, one in each direction.
